This is one of the most popular trends now, everyone is trying to look preppy most likely because of the elegance that comes with this great style of fashion. Not only that, it is versatile and can be used for a lot of occasions, you can use it for a dinner as well as to go to work. To get this preppy look right, all that needs to be done is balancing everything right. The preppy look has a casual and smart side. To get this preppy look the main element is a blazer or jacket, just by wearing a blazer, jacket, sweater or cardigan (that fits you) can bring about a smart look. The Gentleman's Wardrobe/Closet

The gentleman look is usually preppy and loaded with class and style and sometimes culture. From my point of view a person's closet should be of more of his style and less or little of what's in vogue or trending, cause it brings out the fashionable sense in you.
To develop your own sense of fashion, you must be able to pick out the right type of clothes first and know how to mix and match them up properly, and for a "gentleman" you should know how to knot a tie, deal with pocket squares and know the kind of jackets/blazers to choose.

A grey or black and maybe a beige tuxedo or suit is very useful in different ways, not only can you use them for various occasions, you can use the jackets as blazers to match any colour you have on. • T-Shirts: T-shirts, definitely every guy should have t-shirts in his wardrobe, unlimited. Different types should be there; plain, vintage, animal skin etc.

• Sweaters or cardigans: Not only for the cold weather, they are good for nice preppy and casual outings.

• Trousers and shorts: Denim jeans, this should be flat, relaxed or skinny fit. And khaki And for khaki, they are very quintessential pant-on-jeans. Because you need something thats less scratchy and freer than jeans. In the case of shorts any kind of shorts would do most especially cargo and khaki shorts.

Grooming

There are many things to consider when dealing with grooming for men. The are a few basics that should be remembered and must be taken care of. The hair, skin/body and teeth. As a matter of fact every man should own a grooming kit.

The hair is very important and should be neat at all times. It doesn't cost much money for a man to take good care if his hair. Cut you hair at least every two or three weeks or for those who keep their hairs, trim them every two or three weeks too. Wash you hair every time and apply hair conditioner to prevent hair breakage and dandruff.

The skin and/or body is the most important thing to have in mind that must be clean. It is not a new thing to say you have to bath everyday, but at least bath twice a day to wash away all the dried up sweat and dirt from the day's work and refreshen the skin. Most importantly use a moisturiser, most men don't like applying moisturisers to their skin, thereby leave it dry. Moisturisers are 

vey important because the protect the skin from drying and breaking. when picking out a moisturiser don't just pick anyone, look for the one with sunscreen in it. Remember the sun rays can be very damaging to the skin, so thereby sun screen helps a lot along with the moisturiser.

Talking on the body we we must not forget odour, body odour. Bod odour is a very good Turn Off to anyone at all. Go any length to prevent body odour, shave the hair in public areas and wash it. Make use of deodorants and colognes. Nobody likes a bad or offensive smell. You must not buy an expensive cologne just buy something of good quality and stop any atom of body odour.
